A striking mixed media black and white glyphic abstract painting on Oriented Strand Board by Massatcheustts artist Gwen Lesemann. Dating to the early 1960s, it is a study in positive and negative space using geometric glyphic forms arranged in 2-dimensional space. Each glyph occupies a separate rectilinear patch in slight relief from the black background, and while all crowded together, each remains separated from its neighbors by distinct borderlines. Presented in the artist's original black wooden frame and signed en verso. Dimensions: SIGHT-24 x 17.75 FRAME - 24.50 X 18.25.
